Origin:
For over a decade, the Faith Foundation’s Da-Guang Children and Youth Home has provided care and protection to many children affected by domestic violence and intra-familial sexual abuse. However, we recognized that many mothers remained in abusive environments, suffering from physical maltreatment and the anguish of being separated from their children.
Empathizing with the helplessness of these women and recognizing the urgent need for specialized placement, the Faith Foundation collaborated with the Keelung City Government to establish a safe growth environment.
On July 1, 2018, Nuan-Guang (Warm Light) Women and Children's Shelter was founded. We provide residential placement for abused women and their minor children, alleviating the anxiety of parent-child separation. Our goal is to provide a secure environment where they can heal from trauma, rebuild healthy parent-child relationships, restore self-worth, and rekindle hope for the future.
Mission:
Upholding the love of Jesus Christ, we provide a shelter for abused women and their children to ensure their physical safety. Through professional and diversified protective placement services, we offer both practical and psychological support, empowering residents to break free from abusive relationships and enhance their capacity for self-protection.
